Ms. Smith is excited to enter her 25th year of teaching at LRES for the '25-'26 school year. She became a Stallion in 2024 after relocating from Atlanta. Having taught previously in the Metro Atlanta area, she is excited to be a part of the HCBE family. She earned her BFA at The Savannah College of Art and Design and her teaching degree at The University of West Georgia. She is a member of GAEA, PAGE and sponsors the Art Club.

She has two wonderful grown children, Fritz and Lily. In her free time, she enjoys the great outdoors, museums, reading, concerts and spending time with friends and family. It is her honor and privilege to teach young children all about art.
