“The greatest asset of our country is the minds of our children.” – Walt Disney
There is no question that Dr. Elgin Mayfield believes this quote. He works diligently to guarantee that the physical, social, emotional, and educational needs of our students are cared for daily. Before coming to Perry Primary in July of 2007 Dr. Mayfield served as the Assistant Principal of Instruction at Parkwood Elementary in Warner Robins. Prior to beginning his career in administration Dr. Mayfield taught at Rumble Middle and Northside High. He has been with the Houston County School System for more than fifteen years, and looks forward to continuing to work with the teachers, students, parents, and staff of Perry Primary.
Dr. Mayfield earned his doctorate in Educational Leadership from Valdosta State University in July of 2011. He earned his Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Columbus State in 2004 and his Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Valdosta State in 1995.
